Privacy
Privacy notice.
This notice explains what happens to personal data when you visit mycntm.com or write to us. It describes the practice of this website specifically — our trademark practice site, china-trademark.net, publishes its own notice covering the filing services provided there.
Who is responsible for your data
The data controller is Zhongdu International Intellectual Property Agency Co., Ltd., registered office: Room 206, Building 1, Huaru Town, Zhongdu Sub-district, Wenshang County, Jining City, Shandong Province, China. For anything in this notice — or to exercise any of the rights described below — write to hello@mycntm.com.
What this website collects
- No forms, no accounts. This website has no contact form, no enquiry form, no login and no user account. There is nothing on it for you to fill in.
- No advertising or analytics cookies. We do not run advertising, remarketing or analytics tracking on this site, and we do not embed third-party tracking scripts.
- Server logs. Our hosting infrastructure records standard technical information for every request — IP address, date and time, requested URL, HTTP status, browser user-agent and referring page. These logs exist for security, troubleshooting and abuse prevention.
- Strictly necessary cookies. Our hosting provider, and any content-delivery network operating in front of this site, may set short-lived security cookies required to route requests and to distinguish human visitors from automated attacks. These are not used to build a profile of you.
What happens when you email us
If you write to hello@mycntm.com, we receive your email address and whatever you choose to include in your message. We use that information only to answer you, to keep a record of the correspondence, and — if an engagement follows — to open and manage your matter.
We do not sell personal data, and we do not pass your details to third parties for their own marketing. Information is disclosed only to service providers who process it on our instructions (for example our email and hosting providers), or where we are required to do so by law or to file and prosecute a trademark application you have instructed us to file.
If you become a client
Once an engagement begins, we process the personal data necessary to act before the China National Intellectual Property Administration — names, addresses, contact details of applicants and their representatives, signed authorisations and supporting documents. This is required in order to file and prosecute an application.
Please note one inherent feature of the trademark system: an application that is filed becomes part of the public register maintained by the CNIPA, including the applicant's name and address. That publication is required by the registration system itself and cannot be avoided by an agency.
How long we keep information
- Website server logs are retained by our hosting provider for a short operational period and then rotated out.
- Enquiry emails that do not lead to an engagement are kept while they remain useful for answering you and for our own records, and are deleted on request where no legal obligation requires us to keep them.
- Client matter files are kept for as long as necessary to act on the matter and afterwards for the period required by Chinese record-keeping rules and by the practical need to prove a filing history.
Your rights
Depending on where you live, you may have the right to ask us for a copy of the personal data we hold about you, to have inaccurate data corrected, to have data deleted where we have no continuing reason to hold it, to object to or restrict certain processing, or to receive data you provided to us in a portable format.
To exercise any of these rights, email hello@mycntm.com with enough information for us to identify you. We will respond within 30 days. If you are in the European Union or the United Kingdom, you also have the right to complain to your national data protection authority.
International transfers
We are established in the People's Republic of China. If you contact us from another country, your personal data will be transferred to and processed in China, and may be handled by service providers located elsewhere. Where this is the case we take reasonable steps to ensure your information continues to receive an appropriate level of protection.
Security
This website is served over HTTPS. Access to correspondence and client files is limited to the team members who need it in order to work on your matter. No transmission over the internet can be guaranteed to be perfectly secure, so please do not send sensitive personal data — such as identity document numbers — unless we have asked you for it and told you what is needed.
Children
This site is intended for businesses and professional users. It is not directed at children, and we do not knowingly collect personal data from them.
Changes to this notice
If our practice changes — for example if we introduce a contact form or enable website statistics — this notice will be updated and the effective date above will change. The version published here is always the current one.
Questions about this notice? Write to hello@mycntm.com and we will explain how any part of it applies to your situation.
